HK to pay half of the university graduate's salary

With the impact from financial crisis. Hong Kong government is going to have a plan with 4000 internship positions for university graduates. Goverment will pay for HKD 2000 dollars, while the employer pay another HKD 2000.

If the students decide go for a company at mainland China. Hong Kong government will pay for HKD 3000 dollars, and the employer may choose not to pay!

Will the HKD 4000 be the new standard for Hong Kong fresh graduate salary? Hong Kong government even urge the university graduate don't be choosy and picky.

新計畫中最矚目的，是政府斥資一億四千萬元，與大學資助委員會資助院校、自資大學及香港中國企業協會合推的「大學畢業生實習計畫」，預計可開創四千個大學實習生空缺，本地佔三千個，內地則佔一千個。其中，在港工作的實習生，政府會資助二千元，內地實習生則資助三千元。消息人士解釋，內地實習津貼額較多，因要應付內地生活費、交通費及住宿開支。

資助模式方面，僱主須先墊支付薪，其後憑每月糧單向政府申領每人二千元資助。本港實習生必須獲全面僱傭保障，內地實習生礙於內地法規限制，不能無經驗而獲工作證件，勞工處 會為內地生「包底」集體投購意外、醫療保險、個人損失及招致其他損失保險額五百萬至一千萬元不等。
