10% of secondary school children change partner 5 times a year

There is a survey of 1214 secondary school students from Hong Kong, you will be surprised to find out that 10% of them change partners 5 times a year, some even 9 partners one year. There 40% started their first relationship since primary. To see other information, here is the summary.

3.2% change partner 9 times a year.
10% change partner 5 times a year.
40% starts the first relationship during primary school.
70% can accept to have sex with age below 16.

As for how long a relationship last....

26% can maintain a relationship beyond half a year.
20% less than a month.
Most of them between two to three months.

Looks like I am getting old, it is too tired for me to change 5 girlfriends a year.

You are talking about 13 and 14 year olds. How serious are these relationships ? Not very. And there are 20 kids of the opposite sex in a class. And you know all of them intimately. A simple decline to share an ice cream would mean a change of partner.

I remember when I was in Form 1, I had crushes on at least a dozen girls at the same time. They all looked cute to me at the time, until I discover there were more in the next class.

Not a statistic that can be proud of. But at least they had fun during school age.
