The shifting of financial center from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon

In recent years, there have a been a lot of discussion on the shifting of financial center from the expensive Hong Kong Island to Kowloon, and you can see some of the constructions is already on going. Such as this of land, right above Kowloon MTR station, with luxury condo housing, high-class shopping centers, express train services to airport and HK island. However, with the recent financial crisis, it would be interesting to see how can Hong Kong survive with this crisis.

Will the investment banks (sorry, no more investment), foreign banks continue to stay in Hong Kong? Maybe...

Pollution at Hong Kong

Pollution has been a serious issue in recent years at Hong Kong. Rich people blame the pollution is from the China industry, middle class blame the problem due to the number of cars on the road, poor people don't care! Anyway, here are a few photos that were taken at same position at several different days. You can easily see how serious is the problem.

16 Oct 9:18am (another terrible day early in the morning)
During the terrible days, you just feel like in the oven, and you are being cooked.

But during cold day, like 18 Nov, the pollution can be bad too. Such as the one below:

What is the message being hidden by these white paint

If you happen to pass the a passenger bridge from Hung Hom Old Town to the Hung Hom Train Station, you will notice along the long walk way, a white mark is shown on all the post. A very big square being painted white can be easily seen as shown below:

Not just one, but all the way, you can see the white paint is on all the posts.
